Tata
Motors is not only at the forefront of the Indian automobile
industry, it is also one of India's best known brands in international
markets. Today, Tata branded vehicles are seen in several countries
in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, South East Asia

Tata Motors acquired Daewoo Commercial Vehicle
Co., South Korea - Korea's second largest truck maker in 2004.
The acquisition will give Tata Motors a substantial presence
in the Korean market in addition to synergies in manufacturing,
marketing and research. In 2005, Tata Motors acquired a 21%
stake in Hispano Carrocera, a reputed Spanish bus and coach
manufacturer, with an option to acquire the remaining stake
as well. Hispano's presence is being expanded in other markets.

Tata Motors' vehicles meet international emission
norms like Euro III standards for Passenger cars and Euro
II standards for Light Commercial Vehicles including pick
up vans. European standards for frontal and side safety impact
are also successfully met with for passenger cars. It has
a series of quality systems in place including ISO accreditation
from Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI).
